IAQ-related regulations for workplaces under Canadian federal
jurisdiction came into effect on October 11th, 2000.
An amendment to the Canadian Occupational Safety and
Health regulations is actually titled "Heating,
Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems". This
regulation includes requirements for Operation,
Inspection, Testing, Cleaning and Maintenance of HVAC
systems, and IAQ investigation procedures. Click

The amendment was published in the
Canada Gazette (Part II: Vol 134, #21) on October 11th,
2000. Click
